Join Us in Giving Back During No Hunger November
10/25/2021 (Permalink)
Did you know that 1 in 9 individuals do not know where they will get their next meal? That is why we have joined Feeding South Florida in the Thanksgiving Food Frenzy, which takes place from October 25, 2021 through November 12, 2021. Feeding South Florida provides food in a number of ways:
- They give food to over 300 nonprofits
- They look out for seniors with home deliveries to make sure that qualifying older adults are fed as well
- Offering Mobile FARMacy options that provide a one-aisle grocery store with healthy food items
Even as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, over 1 million people across Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties don’t know where they’ll get their next meal. That’s 1 in 9 adults and 1 in 6 children.
As your local food bank and member of the Feeding America network, Feeding South Florida shares the belief that everyone should have reliable access to nutritious food, and we are working hard to ensure that none of our neighbors are hungry.
We are asking our community to help be part of the solution and support families this Thanksgiving.
SERVPRO of East Coral Springs is asking for your help in two ways:
- Donate non-perishable food items. We will be collecting food from now until November 11, 2021. Simply call us at 954-725-6400 and we will pick up the donated items from your office!
- Volunteer to help sort food with the SERVPRO of East Coral Springs team at the Feeding South Florida Food Bank on November 12, 2021.
We hope that you will join us in our effort to make a difference in our wonderful community! Please feel free to reach out to SERVPRO of East Coral Springs with any questions. Thank you!
